Wire Wrapping Classes

Beginning November 15th, I will be taking students for private wire wrapping classes. I am a wire wrap artist of 12 years and decided to start imparting my knowledge and techniques on those wishing to learn.

Beginner - $60/2 Hours

For those with little to no experience wire wrapping you'll learn all the base skills you need to know to take on bigger projects later and start your own wire wrapping business. Skills will include the different types of wire and cabochons, where to order supplies, making findings and connectors for pendants and earrings, making simple pendants and earring wraps, oxidizing and polishing your pieces, and storing and caring for your pieces once made. Students are expected to bring their own tools, and I will provide the wire and cabochons needed for the projects we do during instruction. At the time of booking, I will send you an amazon list with the tools you'll need

Intermediate - $70/2 Hours

For those with a grasp on the basics looking to advance their skills, you'll learn techniques such as various weaving patterns, heady wraps, using multiple textures to add depth to a piece, channel setting small faceted and round cabochons, wrapping pendants with multiple cabochons, creating coils, and personalized instruction on making my most detailed and elaborate pendants. Students are expected to bring their own tools, and I will provide the wire and cabochons needed for the projects we do during instruction.

At the time of booking, I will send you an amazon list with the tools you'll need

Business Creation - $50/2 Hours

For those looking to take their love of wire wrapping to the next level and turn it into a business, I will be offering a business owner class. This will involve one-on-one creation of your website or online shop, business cards, presentation of your products, SEO marketing, how to price your pieces, how to take high quality photos, social media, finding clients, shipping from the comfort of your home, setting up your policies, and anything else you need to know to turn your wire wrapping into a business. Student must have a laptop they can bring to the class.

Policies

Payment

I require a deposit of half the amount of the class at the time of scheduling to hold your spot on my schedule. I accept deposits via Cashappp, Paypal, or Venmo. The rest of the amount is due at the time of the class, before instruction begins. If you must reschedule or cancel, I must be notified within 14 days of the date of your class. No-shows and last-minute cancellations will result in loss of your deposit.

Time Management

You are responsible for your own time management. This means if you are late to your scheduled time, you will be reducing your own instruction time, as I will not be running classes late to accommodate lateness. Everyone completes projects at a different pace, and while I understand this, when the class is over you are expected to take your project and finish it at home with your own supplies or bring it back to the next class where we can work on it together.

Rescheduling/Cancellations

Sometimes I am able to reschedule your class, other times I can't. It depends entirely on what my schedule looks like for your requested time frame. Please request this as early as possible to ensure your request can be fulfilled. For cancellations with less than 14 day's notice the deposit is non-refundable. This notice gives me time to offer your spot to someone else who may have wanted it.

Liability

You are responsible for your own safety while attending my class. I will not be held liable legally or financially for wire wrapping related accidents. Sometimes poked fingers happen when working with wire, and you are responsible for being careful when using tools and materials.
